I wonder if any banks are hiring in Haiti? Not that I've thought this out too much but I could probably live at the creche and work at a local bank - Lou could stay with me and when I had to work it's like instant nannies everywhere. I could totally walk to work and I'm sure my Haitian Creole for Adoptive Families book would get me by until I could pick up more of the language.
Have I lost my mind completely?

YES, LOL
No, I"ve thought the same thing too. My boss told me there were YMCA's in Haiti, and I totally went online looking for them.
I do think I know why Vivian told us to get started on our psych evaluation first when we started on the dossier :)
And this is why we love ya so much!
Forget about getting a job at a bank there. Just go and be a nanny at the creche. Just think no commute time, plenty of time with loudince and tons of kids to play with!
Fantastic idea Geralyn - I have always thought I was more suited to take care of kids anyway. :-)
Do you have to take your own funds to the bank?
You guys probably already know this, but those "banks" actually are sales stands for "lotto" tickets. Wonder if anyone ever wins?
Sorry, "a woman" is Dominique! :)
I've been wondering if there were any network engineer positions open with the government.... seems like they are always having computer issues there and I know Jim could fix that. ;o) So now we just need a realtor to find us houses. April? Do you know what the requirements are to get a real estate license in Haiti?
And after giving it some thought...I think these dudes could really use your help. Just think how their business could benefit from one of your expertly designed web pages! Nothing elaborate, simple and informative would be fine. And what about doing some of your famous radio spots! I'll bet the folks around there would just love to hear you on the radio like we do. And please...lets talk about how professionaly you carry out your security tasks! Yeah, they definately could benefit from having you on staff. You really should fax your resume' to them right away.
Ok Mom - First of all I totally just about spit my water out all over my keyboard. But I would like to include I am also an IT Guru...I could open an account, whip out a new car loan, and get them into their first home all in one swoop...the only problem is I don't think they have a fax to receive my resume on...dang I guess I'll just have to stick with nannying at the creche!
