The Golden Ticket

Lou Lou's Visa appointment went well and as long as no printer cords are lost or ink runs out the Director in Haiti should be picking up his Visa anytime after 2:30PM Haiti time tomorrow.

We do not have travel dates yet. Which is so disappointing but we are going to get through the next few hours and days because we've waited a whole lot longer than just the two years it's taken so far. The glitch with that is with such short notice prices for plane tickets out of our town have skyrocketed and so we may have to drive 5 hours to another state to fly in and out.

Lou will be home soon!!!

I'm honestly singing "Lou's got a golden ticket!" for you and wishing I had any form of dancing ability! I'm so happy for you, K... this has been a long time coming.

Why is it that we don't smack those total strangers who say, when they find out we're adopting, "Oh, you picked the EASY WAY to have kids"? There should be some sort of rule book where you could just smack them first and then show them the book after and say, "No, look... it's right here in the book. Rule 42."

But you... you're nearly done! And I'm so happy for you.

You'll still let Jess marry Lou, right? :)

Thank you Lori- this adoption for you has led you in circles and it probably still has you spinning but you have kept your composure (publicly) and before you know it will be to this point spinning in circles all over again trying to choose the perfect coming home outfit. You will get here!

PS: Lou and Jess are totally betrothed. Now we need to figure out how we can get them to meet first. :-)

This is such great news! I really hope that travel plans work out well. Reading about this brings back so many memories of when we brought home our son several months ago. Yes, last minute tickets were expensive and a pain, but it was so worth it! (we ended up having to wait a week and a half after getting his visa to travel)
Blessings!
